Title:
PRR 5122, E-3SD, 1933
Description:
Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on 24 July 1933. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5122, an E-3SD (4-2-2) "Atlantic" built in Juniata as an E-3D during August of 1907, rebuilt as an E-3SD in November of 1912, and retired in March of 1937 after 30 years of faithful service. Note the Fireman on the tender's deck, refilling the reservoir. "Fill 'er up, Mack!" Gary Mittner Collection.
