Nice example of a rebuilt GP40 (ex-CSX 6679) serving the Maryland Area Rail Commuter. his is a Motive Power Industries (MPI - Morris-Knudson) rebuild from ex-KCS 766 (nee-PC GP40 #3138). The new loco can generate a start up tractive effort of 72,000 lb with continuous tractive effort of 54,700 lb.
